Gulf War US House hearing 2010

If the VA home page says the following:

VA and Open Government
Government should be transparent, allow for citizen participation, and encourage collaboration among organizations. And that’s what VA aims to accomplish through the new Open Government Initiative.

Then why is the next hearing on a Gulf War Veteran issue being kept under the radar, will not be publishized until 48 hours before the meeting -- too late for the average statkeholder/veteran or NSO to give input/comments.

It's my understanding that this Investigatory/Oversight hearing has been postponed because of all the dramatic changes taking place -- exactly what we Gulf War veterans who have testified at the two prior hearing wanted.

I would much rather see the changes we need being implemented, than ever again need more Congressional hearings after 19 years of this.

Stay tuned for the soon-to-be-released VA Gulf War Task Force report. VA Chief of Staff Gingrich says that the report is not the end, and the Task Force WE REQUESTED will not be over until every physical issue they can work through has been worked through..

There will be at least a 30-day public comment period on the report, and, as always, I will be writing about it from lying in my bed or couch for my fellow Gulf War veteran brothers and sisters at www.91outcomes.com.
